Have you messaged them using the company chat? Did you talk with your manager? What’s stopping you from going to the office to deposit the company assets? (Ensure to transfer it in writing that all assets have been submitted.)
Unless you share the details and try out different options this doesn’t seem to do anything to do with legal.
UAt which point was the carry on weighed? If it was during check-in (not applicable for self check-in) then the airline is at fault. If it was afterwards, say during security check or at the gate then you can’t blame the airline. If it’s the latter then take it as a lesson and move on.Also, I hope that your brother is aware of the carry on rules which are being enforced strictly. I won’t get into the details but that’s another area where your brother might have been at fault.
