USo pointing out corrupt govt officials & literally saying what everyone knows in back of there mind makes me a bad person than fine I am bad
No one in this world is pure evryone has something they did that is related to corruption some are corrupted by power they hold , some with money , some with connections they have , some all of the above no one is saint in this world it’s basic human tendency to missuse power for his or her own good

Make sure to take lawyer advice as well. Do not bow down to them without a fair fightUDon’t pay anyone from reddit who approch you most of them are not reliable go to a real lawer & put a defamation case against her or ask him what can be doneUConsider this a expensive lesson. Most probably u won’t get it back unless you have connection in legal deptUPlz if you have someone with strong connection police / political use that now inform them the situation if possible or bribe them make sure they know all the things record everything for proofThey will try to put pressure with the police case or bad mouth you in the community
UFriend is not in major trouble just do what ever hr tell him to right an apology letter ( its just a formality ) the female colleague just want drama in her life or she may want to everyone know that she shouldn’t be messed with ( just power trip ) & stay hell away from her consider this as a life lesson & be vigilant & never ever help her in future ever even her friend circleURecord everything , tell him you will be happy to move out if he pay all the deposit back or you will be staying there till the agreement ends+ Repair whatever you have broken in the flat with your money
USorry for the lossBut I highly doubt judiciary will help you & will take lot of time I mean alot
Just find all who were involved & find another way to make there life hell
