I am tempted to respond to the naysayers to stop wasting my time because I’m checking every comment, trying to connect with legalaid organisations or someone willing to help. Venting has it’s place but this doomerism is frankly more exhausting than the problems we face as a people.
Which is why I have respect for subs like r/transitindia , r/CivicChangemakers (pretty new as far as I know) etc because they spend time educating themselves and doing something. Anything.
It seems like many folks find a strange comfort in their helplessness because it means they never have to try to change things. And it exists fucking everywhere. Nothing more than annoying flies in the face of people trying to help.
Anyway, I’m going to email the material I have to the UP DSP and legal aid organisations I can find. Let’s hope something comes of it.
