UGive them the bank statement.
I had a similar case where a refund of 2000 was to come from Apple for prebooking amount for my iPhone (I got it in Sep 24).
I bought the phone elsewhere and asked them to refund the prebooking.After 2 months of back and forth of them saying they have refunded and me saying they haven’t, they asked for a 6 month bank statement as proof. I gave them the statement and they pointed out the exact date and time when the refund was issued in my statement only and I ended up looking like a fool
Learn from my story – 1) Send them your statement, its okay. 2) Check it first thoroughly before sending
UI feel more than half of the posts in this sub is because someone hurts their ego and they can’t seem to let go, while they know full well that doing anything legally would a) be immature in such a trivial situation b) they don’t have the resources and time to spend pursuing it. They just want to hear the same thing and get sympathy from other people, like some sort of validation that “Yeah, Your feelings are Genuine! UThere are disadvantages and it does open ways for some vile men to exploit women –They can marry a woman and have her sign the agreement without understanding its consequences, have fun with her for a while then divorce her without having any responsibility towards her. A lot of women may sign the agreements without realizing what they are, maybe because they’re blinded in love, maybe because they’re uneducated or from a rural background, a myriad other possibilities.
Remember the fact that a woman once married, no matter how young she is, faces a lot of flak in our society once she gets labelled as a divorcee. If a young girl’s husband divorces her just like that without a shred of responsibility all because she signed some agreement, and she isn’t earning anything (because she’s from rural background), she might end up on the streets or dead.
Please do not forget that a vast majority of married ladies are housewives relying 100% on their husbands for the finances and house running.
This isn’t America where every girl is educated and graduated, knows her best interests and has seen the world before settling down for marriage. So many Indian girls are married off at much younger ages by their parents because they think the girls will get tainted if left unmarried for too long! (I’m speaking from at least 2 cases in my family itself where this happened, both cousin sisters got married together.. younger masi ki beti married off when parents found older sister with a bf and got scared)
Our community is different, our requirements are different. See the other side of the coin too. There will always be some side getting exploited, no matter what laws are.
UThat option doesn’t apply to 99.99% of Indians as –1) You need the net worth of hundreds of crores to even consider that option.
2) Money once put in trust can never be returned to your bank a/c.A lot of caveats apply there otherwise everyone would do that.
UYou’re wrong there buddy. The security doesn’t just include paying for possible damages, it also includes an assurance that you will give the landlord sufficient time (1 month in your case) to find a tenant by the time you leave, ensuring there isn’t any cutoff in his rental income.
It also goes both ways, assume one fine day he comes to you and asks you to get out of the house in 2 days and says I’ll refund your security. Tell me you won’t feel cheated?He’s fair in his demand and almost everywhere the security is usually adjusted in the last month’s rent assuming there are no major repairs.
