Not really. I work with a bank, and this is a common thing. If you have a loan from my bank and your account has funds to pay off that loan, I’ll use that funds to clear my dues.

So, as per banking laws, they have the right to set off, means, if you have money, they’ll use that money, from your account to pay off your dues.
