UI’ve visited my boyfriend and his family felt like my own family, his friends felt like my own friends, his home felt like home. I really don’t have many friends at home and my home life isn’t amazing or anything. I am scared of what our president is about to get us into, and already has. I feel very confident in my relationship and the love we have for eachother. he’s enrolled in college and I don’t start until the fall, and I don’t want to wait another 4 years to have to be together. I’ve been like incredibly sad since I’ve been back home from visiting january-february so i’m also kind of spiraling lol.Uinitially that was really something i was willing to sacrifice, but i’ll probably go with the OCI like everyone is suggesting. I’ll get an extended visa for a while and then get the OCI whenever we get married. we’re still young.Uvery good things to think about. i am stable financially though, just nothing is guaranteed. like i probably couldn’t get a job right away in india so if something detrimental happened to my bank account id kind of be screwed. when i was visiting once my bank got put on fraud lock and it was terrifying — i had made the purchase but not being able to use my card was so scary. im not rushing into marriage and definitely not rushing into having children. but the long distance is getting increasingly hard for me — im really just looking to live together for now.Ui’m actually sober now but yes i did used to have a drug problem. been sober for a long time though and went to a rehab facility and everything. thank you though, if i was still involved with any of that my thought process would be much different. i don’t even smoke nicotine anymore. it’s part of why i want to move, i don’t feel comfortable sending my children to schools in america where drugs are even around in grade 6.
