And to answer your question, yes! It does hold! But ofcourse if you come back to India.. you’re in a law-less land – so nobody will enforce it. Look at the state of soooo many women in Punjab who married to UK citizens on paper. They should legally be there now, but their espouses have abandoned them and the UK government can’t help in anyway.
