Actions have consequences. If someone is going to cause grievous harm to a person, they have to face the consequences.

OP’s sister is going through lot of pain and harm for no fault of hers. The biker has to face the consequences, even if it means his life is ruined.

Poverty is no excuse for grievously hurting a person.
