[not a legal advice] Just so you know, the Whitefield police station is considered one of the worst police stations in Bengaluru when it comes to extracting money, and they rarely miss an opportunity to pressure either the accused or the victim.

I got caught up in a case there, and the IO (Bhim** **mate) constantly tried to extract money from us.

Instead of giving in or repeatedly visiting the station, we started communicating through formal letters and emails addressed to the Whitefield police station, as well as to the Commissioner and the DGP.

Thankfully, we eventually got out of the matter without paying a single penny since we kept the higher officials in loop, though the entire experience cost us a lot of mental peace because of those corrupt officers.
