If you find right guy outside municipal or court who can sort your affidavits, they’ll charge a premium but even dob is not a problem. You throw money and everything is accounted as data mistake in Indian systems.

I’ve done exactly same thing during test drive, just that it was an auto in place of human. The best way for you is to go for out of court settlement.

NAL, but if something is not in written, I do not believe it. Also, cops are not revealing any information. This do not make sense. Just ignore for now and tell your parents to stay calm.
