The girl’s family asked her to resign, saying they were coming to take her home. So the couple don’t have the time to go through the formalities of a marriage notice and all that. I should’ve mentioned this in the post. I have no idea what they’re planning to do.

Yes. Aware of the court marriage option but they’re more anxious about what comes after it. Like, caste is a huge issue with the family.
