February 20, 2025 at 6:52 pmWhat if I’ve bought a property before and after marriage along with my mother? Will my spouse be able to claim it after divorce in alimony if she has made 0contribution towards it?February 14, 2025 at 7:19 am in reply to: Alimony to be paid if the marriage has not been for long? #55004UUser_63fd7863

February 14, 2025 at 7:19 amThank you very much for the prompt response. We were planning on getting married as per rituals as well in the month of April and I do not wish to proceed now. She needs help but her family says that they have made all the arrangemements and informed everyone. I don’t understand why they are neglecting the underlying issue. I still completely don’t know what the problem is, idk why they just want to push her away. She mentioned a few times before revealing this that’s broken beyond repair and that no one can fix her.February 14, 2025 at 7:15 am in reply to: Alimony to be paid if the marriage has not been for long? #55005UUser_63fd7863

February 14, 2025 at 7:15 amUnfortunately, it was only verbal and was only recently told when I asked about why certain experiences trigger her. Parents are outright rejecting that something of this sort ever happened. She needs help, her father is thinking of what the society will say. She mentioned that she’s broken into pieces and still get nightmares. Again the family is not ready to reveal anything and are forcing her to not say a word about it. Even if we go to court they’ll likely force her to not say a word about it.UUser_63fd7863

February 8, 2025 at 2:16 amApologies! I wrote all of that in the spur of the moment and did not proofread it before posting. We got a court marriage done so we are officially married. We also wanted to get a religious ceremony done for family and friends, but no longer wish to proceed. In this case what options do we have? Can the marriage be nullified or will we have to apply for a divorce?UUser_63fd7863

Long story short. We got court marriage done and were also planning on getting a religious marriage done in April, but for different reasons we wish to not proceed further mutually. What are the options and how long does that take? -
