You’re right, police should go about doing crowd control by first checking the ID card and then asking if you were outsiders friend, if yes then beat that person. This is India, we overreact first to contain the situation and then think about containing the situation.

Been in a similar situation ( not at this scale) but bhai gehu ke sang ghun bh pista hai.
