Get the GPA revoked ASAP, you don’t need him for that. If you have a copy of the GPA, take it to a lawyer and have him help you revoke it. If you don’t have a copy, try get the document number, which is given by the Sub-Registrar’s Office when you register the GPA. If it isn’t a registered GPA, then it’s not valid in the first place w.r.t any rights over property.
