UYou said that your tatkal passport was verified by the police. Keep the recording saved and best would be if you read Maharashtra laws regarding staying licensed,etc which says that
1. Police Verification:
If you apply using your Telangana permanent address, the police verification will be conducted there.
If you apply using a current Maharashtra address, you may need to provide proof of residence in Maharashtra (such as a rent agreement, utility bill, or employer certificate).2. Present vs. Permanent Address:
If you’ve lived in Maharashtra for more than a year, you can use it as your present address, but police verification will be done at both addresses (Maharashtra and Telangana).
If you’ve moved recently, verification will primarily be in Telangana.3. Documents Needed for Verification:
Aadhaar card, Voter ID, or any government ID.
Rent agreement (if applicable) for Maharashtra address.Employer certificate (if working in Maharashtra).
There shouldn’t be any penalty but make sure to visit once because they will think that you’re taking this matter lightly.
And apply for the house as soon as possible so that you can show the docs that you’ve already applied for it.Hope this helps:)
Just make sure to co-operate with them whenever they ask for and explain your situation calmly to them.UYou can show the police verification when asked and try to co-operate as they will burden you if you don’t co-operate and keep all the residence documents and your company being in another state and try to say that I’ve already applied for residence, it’s taking time.
