As far as I can remember Sc although decriminalized homosexuality refrained from legalizing same sex marriage to avoid excessive encroachment of judiciary in legislature ie making laws.
You’re best bet at marrying your better half as far as my opinion goes lies completely on the hands of current government (although new bench was hearing cases regarding same sex marriage quite some time ago)

I hope you do know how the current govt feels about LGBTQ.
