The kid is still in India. For him to travel, he needs passport. Another round of rejection would mean delaying the kids visa further. Anyway this option is something she is considering at the moment. Thanks for your help 🙂

Yeah this shud have been done in the first place but unfortunately she provided all the documents and applied for passport. It is refused now. So next time when passport is applied for the kid, they may have to declare previous passport refusal history. So this may complicate the things again.!

Yeah thats what a lawyer has suggested her too. But this route may take longer. This particular case is from Telangana. 🙂

Yeah it is very unfortunate. The kid doesn’t belong anywhere at the moment. Neither Australia nor India.

Australian laws don’t allow to directly apply for citizenship unless the child is born here for citizen/Permanent residency parents. Child was born in India. So she needs Indian passport to apply his PR to get hun here.

Unfortunately yes. But the Kid cannot get Australia Visa/ permanent residency without Indian passport. Not really sure what can be done here. Not sure if migration lawyer can help too.

One biological parent is still an Indian citizen.

Yeah, unfortunately her divorce and the custody battle took many years. And now she is struggling in getting a passport for her kid.!!
