UFor example when you wrote exam for recruitment to a particular post, then as per recruitment rule, next promotion would be due in 3 years. But after you join and complete 2.5 years of service, they will revise recruitment rule from 3 years to 10 years. So now you will have to spend a decade for your promotionUSometimes they conduct exam with one recruitment rule and by the time you join and be on the verge of getting promoted they will change your recruitment rule and deny you promotion.
