He’s not a pedophile. There are lots of misinformation in the society. Pedophiles are not attracted to post pubescent individuals i.e, above the age 12. People who are exclusively attracted to the age group 12-15 are called Hebephiles. And people who are exclusively attracted to the age group 15-19 are called ephebophiles. Pedophilia is considered a disorder while the other two are not. Hebephilia is debated in the psychology circles to whether be added to the paraphilia/disorder list or not. As of now there is a broad consensus to not consider it as a disorder. Adults who are attracted to minors not necessarily be one in this three.A person with primary interest in adults (Teleiophile) could very well be attracted to minors(pubescent). It’s not even abnormal for an adult male to be attracted to a pubescent teen. And you can’t just call someone who indulges in illegal activities with minors as Pedophiles, Hebephiles or ephebophiles because attraction ≠ action.
