I don’t think they’ll ask for the offer in the first place. If they do ask, he can tell them that the other company had negotiated it to 12 before sending the offer letter, but he has not accepted the offer as it was too low.

what if you can talk to her about all this personally (only you both) and discuss things out, and maybe later you reach out to a psychologist or marriage counsellor, things get better over time?

I could be completely wrong but i am just exploring a positive side. you can call it wishful thinking.

I think you must not file devorce just yet untill tried your best to understand his problem, Be it homosexuality, affair or whatever. Try to understand the reason before pulling the plug on your marriage. Ofcource, only in a reasonable time and effort.
