Bribing is not common at all. Just visit a different VW dealer and iirc you can ask for delivery from the initial dealer. Or just bring out random anecdotes like some other competitor offered BH registration at no extra costs.
I remember one guy doing the same(making the booking at a different dealership and PDI and delivery on a different one. ) and the initial dealer was fuming(as he wasn’t able to make a sale from his showroom) while the guy happily took delivery.
