March 5, 2025 at 6:17 amNALnope they cant do anything. Usually parents file a flase case of kidnapping but that wont stand in court.
Just a word of caution, infosys is infamous for firing employees without giving notice. So maybe have other sources of income like online copywriting incase they fire you.
Also please confirm the identity of the man you elope with, many men take advantage of girls who are desperate for a life of independence, keep their important documents in a locker and essentially trap them. Make sure you are not jumping from the frying pan to the fire.

March 5, 2025 at 6:09 amNALsometimes even if you are an advocate, you become a victim of the judicial system. It is weaponized to steal land and harass others. I am sure he would understand what is the best thing to do in the situation

March 5, 2025 at 6:05 amNALyou have witnesses right? file an FIR against the girl and her mother for aggravated assault. If you have evidence they insulted your caste in a public place and you belong to ST/SC, make sure the police note down they assaulted you under the ST/SC act.
However, if you feel all these FIR will call unnecessary jhamela, then try to get it mediated through family and friends . Ask a trusted middle man to make both sides understand and to ask her to leave your brother alone. This might also save your brothers engagement
If you dont want to do anything, at least keep evidence on how her parents insulted you and broke the marriage, that your brother and ex were in a consensual relationship for years and that they had come to your house and assualted you. She might actually file a false case. Please aks your brother to go to the hospital and get proof of the injuries he recieved.
on a side note, your brother should not have stayed in contact with his ex. If he is still in contact with her, ask him to cut all contact.

March 4, 2025 at 8:59 amNALpolice cannot deny filing an FIR. Even if there is a difference in States, you can file a ZERO FIR as the law recognizes that a criminal can be from anywhere and commit a crime against someone from another state. If they refuse to file the FIR, write a letter to the SP. If the SP doesn’t do anythin,g you can file a complaint petition to the magistrate. You can aslo directly file a complaint petition to the magistrate. Ask a lawyer to draft the needful.
Also personal advise, if your fiance isnt willing to protect you against his ex, maybe question if you want to spend the rest of your life with him. love only goes so far when you have to live decades with someone.

March 4, 2025 at 8:34 amfor damages, i highly suggest you speak to a lawyer for damages through a civil suit. However, considering the parents are poor, the success of this suit is doubtful.I am NAL but considering they have destroyed your property and tried to ruin the peace of the locality, you can also try and get compensation through a criminal complaint. The Juvenile Justice Act will apply for criminal cases with regards to children. If he runs away and does not come back from school the police needs to be involved and they will do the needful under the juvenile justice act. They will catch him and reproduce him infront of the Child Welfare Committees (CWC) that will either send him to a childs home or release him under certain conditions (community service, etc).
If you want to get compensation through a non legal route, get the school involved. Use them to get the parents understand. you can also use the school to punish the child.
CCTV footage is enough evidence, you dont need to catch him red handed. Witness deposition of various locality members will also work if you dont have CCTV footage. i am assuming that you and the flat owner have directly seen him destroying property. If you havent, there are high chances your case will not be accepted.
However, i dont know why a child who you have showed so much love is acting like this. I would advise (again iam NAL) to get a NGO involved so they can rehabilitate him and make sure he doesnt go down a criminal path. usually they give these children vocational training to keep them off the streets. Who knows who is influencing him.

March 4, 2025 at 8:05 amNAL from what i can understand if the wife can financially sustain herself, that will be taken into account as alimony is usually money secured to financially support the women after divorce for her dignity. Now the amount depends on the judge you get, but if you have a good lawye,r he can cite SC and HC judgements that state that if a wife can financially support herself, the amount wont be exorbitantUUser_abde119a

March 4, 2025 at 7:55 amNALTo file a juvenile complaint, you should first report the matter to the local police station, who will then likely involve the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB). If the alleged offense is serious, an FIR may be filed, but the case will be handled with a child-friendly approach, not an adversarial one
If you care about the kid, then there are many NGO’s/pro bono clinics of law schools that deal with children in conflict with law (kid criminals) that will know the best way to rehabilitate them.
Do you know the childs parents? Mostly kids act out either if they have been exposed to gangs or abuse is going on at home. If you want to invest the time you can talk to family and explain the consequenses of their childs actions in the presence of a witness (in case they try to file a false case against you on the basis of lies).
I guess you can file for damages through a civil suit but i am not sure if the parents will be liable. Talk to a lawyer and they will be able to guide you

March 4, 2025 at 7:44 amFYI i am NAL. Maybe write letters to the local ministers, department of justice, demand justice notes.Or post this on social media and tag ministers of the opposite party the other team belongs to. ONLY DO THIS if you belive the other team will not retaliate by beating you up, filing false criminal cases or just bulldozing your house (aparently that is a trend in India now)
there are a lot of environment protection NGO’s that can help with the nitygritties of this and legal protection. Reach out to NLU’s and law colleges in your state, they usually take on pro bono work to train students and they are lead by pro bono advocates

March 3, 2025 at 12:21 pmi am against death penalty as our normal laws are so skewed and people hardly get justice, imagine if death penalty was the norm. So many innocent people would receive death penalty because of our faulty justice system. And not to mention that the rick would not recieve death penalty because they can get food legal representation and the poor will sufferMarch 3, 2025 at 12:13 pm in reply to: Dad has initiated divorce after 25 years of separation with mother, What will be the total expense if we pursue this case? #44133UUser_abde119a
