I mean, obviously I was speaking with the context of the post? Why are you generalizing it when it wasn’t supposed to be? You just took one single line out of my entire response, and decided to generalize it?

oh, I thought they weren’t being defensive but offensive with the physical violence as it wasn’t clear on the post.

I’m not very sure about that. Please focus on the present as of now, the rest will work itself out. There are so many more options if the govt job doesn’t work out. It is not the end of the world. Stay calm, and I hope you find the answer to your question.

hey, from the way you have written your post, I can tell you are extremely anxious right now.

Firstly, breathe. A big inhale, hold for 4 secs, and then a big exhale. Do that until you feel better (slowly tho, you don’t wanna feel dizzy!). If that doesn’t work, try putting ice cold water on your wrists. Just get yourself to calm down first so you can think rationally.

Coming to your issue, I understand being frustrated with your parents right now. But being physically abusive is not right at all. Why do you want to be like them? Hitting someone is never, never right. You need to find a job as of now and move out into your own space. Once you do that, you can actually start thriving instead of living. You mentioned you want a govt job. Keep preparing for it, but right now i believe you need to get a job to save your mental health first. Get a job, save up, move out, settle down at your new space and after a few months, start/continue your prep for getting a govt job. You need to plan longterm here.

One rule that I have when I feel extremely suicidal is, that I have to give myself a fresh start to live another type of life, as the current one isn’t serving me. Move out, start a new life. Don’t give up so easily. You’ve got this.
