Privacy laws here are a joke. I feel germany has it right, you cannot upload videos of people going about their day without hiding identities(faces, number plates).

You can use it as evidence in courts, but the law is there so that you cannot publicly upload it hoping it goes viral and jobless people will dox the person and harass them. Which is exactly what people here do with number plates, they misuse state resources to attack people they declare as in the wrong.

Even other countries have such jobless ppl, not saying it’s only an “us” problem. And it’s very easy to edit footages to make the other person look bad and further strengthen the call for harassment towards them by such bad actors.
