Just read this conversation thread. The advice couldn’t be any worse. This magic isn’t going to work out, the woman can’t be coerced into changing her mind. THe longer this drags out the worse it will end for him.

Your friend needs to consult a lawyer before talking to her family because family will want to protect their daughter and might start stacking up false cases. He needs to stay quiet, get the legal process started, and talk to her via text/whatsapp during this stuff so he has evidence.
