We only informed when he got selected to Nationals since we had to produce birth certificate for age verification. They asked to produce all documents including passport and now we’re kinda banned state / nationals from playing.

Thank you, I understand. He was born when I was deputed to foreign country. He lived there hardly for 3 months. We all moved for good to India. It was my understanding a kid can decide on the Nationality only after he is 18. Till then I’m trying to find a way to establish his skills. I don’t find a solution for this.

Thank you, the only rule stand in the way is “OCI players are not eligible to play in India”. He was playing for a year and got selected to Nationals but we voluntarily informed about his status and we got response back not to participate.

Thank you, as far as I’ve researched, After 2009, I see all sports in India are not permitting OCI holders to represent district, state and nationals. The sport body also highlighted the same rule. If I have to take to legally, not sure from where I can start. Many are not aware of the scenario and unable to give right advice.
