January 24, 2025 at 6:43 amI’m sorry if you’ve had a bad experience with the police (in fact most of us have) but I’d rather call the police and save myself from dying, even if it’s temporary. No, they won’t save her in the long term but if she can prove that she was beaten, she can at least get out of that place momentarily to think of something else. She can’t contact women’s shelters or NGOs from within the confines of her home.Often times we are not as helpless as we think. It’s people like with you with “kuchh nahin hoga” mentality that causes more harm. And yes, I’ve seen police take bribes from abusive husbands but at the same time, I’ve seen an equal amount of women being helped out of situations as well. (Speaking from a Tier 1 & 2 experience). If you are personally not in a place to help OP, then please keep your unhelpful mouth shut.

January 24, 2025 at 12:30 amYour fastest course of relief will be calling the police. Call women’s thana if possible. You don’t need money to lodge an FIR. -
