Just for record, I am no lawyer and my suggestion is based on my approach to solve financial disputes.WYou should raise with SBI. It’s more logical than just following up with PNB, because
1. It happened with an SBI ATM – ATM has sent information to PNB stating money has been dispensed and that’s why you got account deducted. So, most probably SBI ATM is at fault here.2. SBI customer care is better than others. Write and escalate.
3. SBI have to say either they dispensed it, or not dispensed. If they claim to have dispensed, ask for cctv and follow up with them for money and compansation. Otherwise follow up with PNB Stating sbi has declared not dispensing it so revert my money.
Following both simultaneously will help you when you reach to RBI Ombudsman, as 1 month prerequisite and escalation both are covered at your end.
