Get your elders and some middle mens who are known to both sides and get your gifts exchanged take back what your family offered to the groom and return the gifts like you mentioned ring and saree. Also if you have spend anything on the engagement like food or gifts get it detailed tallied and get it prepared so that you have evidence that you spend this much.

Rest I pray for your sister and family to get out of this trauma . Also one thing I would suggest from now do a thorough background check in future looking for prospects not trust relative word of mouth. Get your sister into some course so that she will get it out of this situation. Now in future get everything clear cut written out as it is permissible in Islam to get everything in written while getting into agreement. During my brother marriage we did the same bride side and our side when coming to agreement jot down all things on members and what would be acceptable and any requests and other things to be written and agreed by all.

You can take legal it’s totally upto to you with your complain with National consumer helpline Amazon is trying to negotiate.I would suggest to negotiate harder also arrange return pickup again and get that fridge disposed make sure to make complete video and photos of the existing conditions of the fridge as they might use used condition issue to dent refund and ask them for a discount or coupon on the new fridge and get some compensation for the hassle.

Yes it’s normal here. Just hire a reputed agency in that region. There will be no trouble.

Your can do private investigation it’s would be normal in your case as you can say your parents are doing background check to understand the other family. Many people do now a days lot of inquires it’s normal. Sometimes relatives also on their own start such background checks from sources.

The SI beat him and gave a warning and asked my relative to give a chance as his family were crying and begging my relative and SI. SI ensured if he is again found will be behind bars. The SI asked him the details of the person who is giving him this stuff and said will take action against him.

True just a complain is enough in Police station with the culprits name they will be handled. From Nagpur recently one of my relative faced this similar situation their neighbour was doing this lemon and other needle stuff and was caught red handed they filed an FIR and later was taken by police and there he was apologizing and asking to withdraw complain they did not take the complain back.
