So, innocent people languish in jails, because police and lawyers wanna leech of money from them and their families. But why not do the same for rape accused, or they wanna get them out, because they have a soft spot? If they don’t expect any money out of them or their families, wouldn’t it be easier for them to let the accused rot in jail?

SC merely interpreted 377, which talks about unnatural sex. The police used to arrest consenting adults under this section to harrass them, extort money, ruin their reputation. That law still exists to count anal sex as unnatural sex. But it is not to be used to arrest same-sex consulting adults.

You forgot to mention insurance aspect as well. You cannot nominate same-sex partner as a beneficiary, or include them in your health insurance plan. Unless legislature changes it, insurance companies ain’t gonna do squat.
