April 19, 2025 at 7:41 am**Please answer these questions honestly:**1. Is there a reasonable chance (answer in % terms of probability please) I can get a decent compensation (please answer in amount, I’ve paid them 1.3 Lakhs) if I go through with a case—whether filed online or offline?
2. If I file a case through the **eDaakhil portal**, will I still have to be physically present in court on every hearing? I’ve read that if the other party doesn’t respond or attend the online hearing, or if the judge insists, physical presence may be required.
3. Filing offline through a lawyer seems costly. It only feels worth it if the chances of recovering **at least ₹80K** are **90% or higher**. Do you think that kind of outcome is realistic?
4. I feel like they offered me ₹20K just to avoid spending more on legal fees. Does that theory make sense to you? Or could there be another reason behind it?
5. Do you think I should try negotiating with them directly over a call and push for a higher refund—maybe **₹20K+**?

**For context:**
I’m 18 and just got my JEE results—did well and will get CSE in a tier-1 college. I genuinely love tech, I’m good at it, and I’m confident that I’ll earn much more in the future.
That said, these legal issues drain my energy. My dad will handle the formal process if we go ahead (especially if we choose the no-lawyer route), but I’ll still have to guide him, and honestly, I don’t want to be mentally stuck in this mess even for a few days.
I just want straight-up, no-BS advice—like an older brother would give. What’s the smartest move here?

March 17, 2025 at 11:45 amI forgot to mention one more thing—I paid around ₹70K using an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card. Can I also file a dispute with the bank for a chargeback by providing all the proof along with the legal notice? -
