Normally it is the size of the remittance which determines the fees charged by such players.

Lawyers play this game of % in everything, from property dispute to compensation claim to inheritance battles.

2L sounds fine for 15cr remittance.

There is something missing in your story.

Pls explain the bit around your fallout with delivery executive after sharing OTP and why did you raise complaint with seller saying delivery executive is not giving you item.

Complete picture can allow right advice in this matter.

          Very sensible and mature answer.

God has given your father abilities and your grandfather has nurtured those ability. So you should leave property to weaker one.

However game changes if value of property is big and has ability to create generational wealth.

Lawyer up and join the inquiry. If opposite party is big/capable then lawyer can be asked to find anticipatory bail before joining inquiry.

Ignoring won’t help if FIR has been lodged

Are you sure it’s not a call from scammers and it is from real police?

Heard there is a registry maintained by India IT industry association companies to report such cases.

If that’s true then it may have future bearing if you try for a role in future within Indian MNCs or WITCH companies overseas offices.

So be calculative before taking any step. 3L is not a big deal amount to jeopardise future opportunities when you have your entire working career ahead of you.

MWP act doesn’t allow any change in beneficiary even if you want to add new born child, it’s not allowed.

It’s kind of cast in stone.

You are hilariously silly, are you expecting a legal solution?
Preserve invoice of 210, file a case on consumer forum for small claim, negotiate with help of forum if shop bothers to remain present, shop owner doesn’t have friends in local police then such case will have outcome in few months.

                        Happy huh?

So you are expecting a qualified lawyer only to respond?

If yes – pay few coins and formally engage a lawyer.

OP asking legal advice for Rs. 210 dispute.

That speaks volume about “ab hum court mein milenge” meme.

Chill with “best friend part”….i was just joking.

For the subject, they should document some of the threats from family regardless if they are overt/covert.

One can go register this as real threat to life compliant after court marriage with police or a magistrate if police doesn’t take it seriously.

I am not a lawyer. But sharing this based on acquired knowledge.

Two consenting adults can do a court marriage without police help. Both living in Tier 1 city away from disapproving family makes it that much easier.

On a lighter note – I love this my best friend or my friend posts on social media across the subjects lines.
