May 1, 2025 at 6:17 pmChandigarh is one of those cities where lawyers and clients both often charge on lump-sum basis hence this is hard to say.But a competent and reliable mid level (10-15 years exp) lawyer should be around 20k per hearing approx.
An entire bail application filing and arguments should not cost more than 40ish if you’re able to keep it economical.
Sometimes when the trial court doesn’t grant bail people appeal to the HC that would be maybe 50k in total. (Some also come to the sc which would again be 50k-1L for the entire case) (if all of this done by lawyers between 10-15 years of exp).
The trial itself moves slowly and there isn’t much to do until chargesheet is filed. The hardwork in the trial happens when witnesses and examines and cross examined.

May 1, 2025 at 3:35 pmThat is not what “non-bailable” means. Non bailable offences are those in which only a court (not the police directly) can grant you bail. In most cases of governmental corruption people get bail.BBraveraman2380

April 1, 2025 at 5:55 pmLawyer here, to get one thing out of the way, with respect to any work done by you (since this pertains to an Indian subsidiary where you seem to have some ownership), Indian courts as well as the NCLT (Indian) would have jurisdiction.
For everything else, such as whether you have a case against them or not, one would have to read the MoA and AoA of the subsidiary company and get a detailed brief of your engagement as well as termination from the company on the basis of docs. This would be an Indian lawyer’s job, not an American one.

March 31, 2025 at 9:05 amLawyer/ Since I understand this question is coming from your anxiety. Life imprisonment, in cases of corruption is rare.Secondly, conviction is not the more likely outcome.
Thirdly, any trial of this kind takes years to conclude.March 31, 2025 at 6:42 am in reply to: Vigilance officer has falsely implicated my father in a huge corruption case. #24216BBraveraman2380

March 31, 2025 at 6:42 amAnd it is wayy to early to answer your question. Additionally it is impossible to answer your question without studying the case docs first.March 31, 2025 at 6:31 am in reply to: Vigilance officer has falsely implicated my father in a huge corruption case. #24211BBraveraman2380

This is likely to become a long drawn out situation and getting the right legal advice in both the departmental action and the criminal action is crucial.March 30, 2025 at 1:04 pm in reply to: A Meme Account Is Using My Picture for a Defaming NSFW Post #24472BBraveraman2380

March 30, 2025 at 1:04 pmGet a lawyer of some standing who can send a legal notice (which means a letter from your lawyer threatening legal action). Several criminal offences are made out if this is an NSFW post.March 30, 2025 at 12:57 pm in reply to: A Meme Account Is Using My Picture for a Defaming NSFW Post #24465BBraveraman2380

March 30, 2025 at 12:57 pmHi, best way out of this considering you’re not in the country is to send a legal notice. The account may not want the hassle and may just remove it (if removal is all you want).BBraveraman2380

March 27, 2025 at 1:57 pmLawyer here
I’ve done similar cases in the TC and the Delhi HC.
Do NOT pay the bribe.
This is a straightforward case, your father will get bail.
Happy to help if you need advice (pro bono) so long as an adult who’s handling your father’s case joins the call. You’re a young kid, horrible this is happening with you.BBraveraman2380

February 3, 2025 at 9:27 amLawyer here, this is a pretty straightforward situation where one of the actual legal heirs (i don’t think you are one) needs to first get a surviving member certificate (from the municipal corporation) and then file probate/partition proceedings before the court. In these proceedings, one can get a stay order to prevent any alienation (transfer) of properties and then through a court-mediated settlement ensure that everyone only gets what they are entitled to under law.All this maneouvering that your aunt seems to be doing will be set at naught if the other legal heirs are smart about it.
