BOr if possible go through the insurance, put a bunch of cases on the other car owner and claim for loss in value.BThe insurance is to cover the mistakes i make, not for mistakes some idiot makes and runs without giving the number. I would have filed a hit and run case and added few cheating cases on top of it. Now , the reality is that 3rd party claims are crazy difficult to resolve and we have ended up in this situation where defacto negotiation is ask for NCB and out of pocket amount in negotiations. Find people who have media connects and show this case in all news channel with full clear face photos of your wife and so called friend. Start negotiations on divorce settlement after this act.
