Every suit that is filed in court “can” lead to a bad confrontation. Every FIR registered can lead to the guy who goes to jail (if he doesn’t get bail)/ prison (if he does get convicted) can always come after you when they are released.

To answer your question, I do “really think” what I said. Filing a suit is a hassle, whether it is court hassle, lawyer hassle or the other party hassling you.

Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

You are at a crossroad where you can either not pursue it and have some peace of mind.

Or you can pursue it, have a bit of rough time, but get the benefits of having SBI be accountable. None of this will hurt your chacha & cousin in the slightest.

It’s not 10-15 lac per hearing, but the estimated lump sum cost.

1 lac per hearing plus 1 lac per conference.

But senior advocates have their own hierarchies. A top level senior advocate of Supreme Court may indeed charge 10-15 lacs per hearing. Top level senior advocates of Bombay Hight Court charge 13.5 lakhs per hearing

Nope. If their equipment isn’t working, they’ll physically collect money whether cash or UPI. If by any chance, you are the first one in the queue when the damage happens, perhaps they let you go because they don’t want to hold up the line

There has to be some way that mods kick out the non legal background from giving horrible legal advice.

This isn’t a forum for your drama kutchery. If you have a legal advice to give, please do so.

Absolutely unnecessary victim blaming a 17 year old, with the advice “Threaten your father with an FIR”. Leave the fact that, that’s horrible “legal” advice, that’s just terrible advice in general.

Other than the general comment of the cybercrime portal or FIR, report to SEBI as well.

SEBI loves passing orders to freeze accounts and try ensuring refunds happen.

And the next time, they show this letter where you have signed stating that you have returned the “fraud document”, as proof of being a repeat offender?

It takes nothing for you to create a communication trail protesting your innocence.

Okay, that’s why I was saying saying a dark joke isn’t contempt per se. It can lead to you being issued a warning.

Before we delve into this “girlfriend”

                              1) A guy with MGTOW in their username is simping this hard for a girl he has never met in real life. Sounds quite contradicting.

                              2) In another post, you mentioned your mother converting to Islam. So mother is Christian converted to Islam, gf is Islam wanting to convert to Orthodox Christianity. Very coincidental, I would say.

                              Now this gf.

                              1) A muslim girl named Heba from India, a very rare Muslim name for Indian girls tbh.

                              2) You have never met her, or video called, but you are in love?

There is a high probability that 1) You are either making up such stupidity, or 2) You are telling the truth. In case, you are telling the truth, as others have warned you, there is a high probability of it being a catfishing scam, where she will perhaps ask you for money to travel from India to your country, and then dupe you into giving your money.

In the rarest plausible chance that all of this is actually true, she still has an extremely difficult task ahead of her, which you should consider and decide whether you really want to be involved in all this bs.

Now if you are that 1 in a million person who is telling the truth, she is telling the truth and you both actually want to execute this, then ensure her safety by making sure she emancipates when she has enough money to sustain herself atleast in India. Then you can worry about how to bring her to your country.

From my understanding, the judges can warn you first and then hold you in contempt. The cause of the action wouldn’t be the joke, but the disregard for the judge’s direction to behave in a civil manner.

I understand that it is part of the professional ethics code, but my question was specifically related to the contempt of court act. You can refer me to any provision within that act.
