April 16, 2025 at 9:42 amOkay. It’ll be a 6 months process, or shorter, if the terms agreed upon are complied with. Alimony is what they mutually agree upon, give and take. Child support again, as agreed mutually. So in mutual, no part of it is contested. You can decide to give all you have or take nothing. But unless they’re on the same page, they cannot file a mutual divorce. However, the legal position entitles the wife to a certain percentage of maintenance, depending on certain factors, in addition to child support.DDesiknight9081

April 16, 2025 at 8:26 amNothing official. Also, if it’s a legal notice, then there is no court involved in it. It’s merely on an Advocate’s letterhead.DDesiknight9081

April 16, 2025 at 8:17 amHi. I’m a Delhi based lawyer. The entire process of divorce, and what all comes with that, in terms of proceedings and otherwise is something to be discussed at length. Would be glad to help/assist in this regard. To begin with, is she contemplating mutual divorce or a contested one?DDesiknight9081

April 15, 2025 at 7:24 pmIf you don’t have faith in your lawyer, you won’t be able to sit there with confidence. May be take a day or two to decide how to take the meeting forward, and then do it, once you’re clear in your head. Till then you can take multiple opinions may be, or do whatever satisfies you enough to take the right call.DDesiknight9081

April 15, 2025 at 6:54 pmHow can their forcefully make you write just anything! Was your lawyer available at that point in time? Please ask your lawyer to take a stand for you to the extent possible, and you must go tomorrow if you’re being called. But try not to give in to any unreasonable demands, unless really necessary. Which city are you in? -
