April 3, 2025 at 6:58 amHi. Lawyer here. You should send them a legal notice regardless, stating there has been deficiency in service by them under the CP Act, 2019. Ask for compensation towards mental agony also. Basis the outcome and whether you’re ready to pursue it, decide whether you wish to file a consumer complaint or no. You can file it where you reside.DDesiknight9081

April 3, 2025 at 6:19 amWhat you’ve written is correct but there are several riders to it, which are best discussed one on one. Thanks.DDesiknight9081

April 3, 2025 at 5:51 amDepends on the cop, but if you just go to the police station and ask for help, don’t think anyone will refuse it. Please don’t approach a random cop on the road as he won’t help you for free.DDesiknight9081

April 3, 2025 at 5:40 amWell I don’t wish to comment on that as rowdies are everywhere, from social media to real life, across professions. But let’s not generalise it. We grow as we grow, except those who don’t. This conversation is pointless 🙂 Have a great day!DDesiknight9081

April 3, 2025 at 5:26 amWhat makes you think everyone studies law to become a judge? Most of them are very passionate about the subject and love practising law. And you really think AI can ever be a substitute for real advise? I am a lawyer and I do not even believe what I read on AI and I’m always looking for authentic sources. There is a lot lot more to it which only those who are practising law can understand 😊DDesiknight9081

April 3, 2025 at 5:05 amI’m not sure about that because according to me, even when you’re renewing your passport, you only receive the new passport post police verification. And once that’s clear, if you receive your new passport, that’s an indicator enough that it’s a valid passport. If there are any exceptional circumstances, I am not aware.DDesiknight9081

April 3, 2025 at 3:50 amBecause passports don’t go invalid unless one has been involved in any controversy which also involved directions relating to their passport. So if there are any such reasons, not sure what’s the way to check.April 2, 2025 at 11:57 pm in reply to: Need advice if I should/can take any action against Swiggy #22536DDesiknight9081

April 2, 2025 at 11:57 pmHi. Lawyer here. If you have proof of their commitment to not deduct cancellation charges, you can send them a legal notice and file a consumer complaint thereafter. Or else try pursuing this on Twitter first, but they’re so shameless, I doubt it’ll work.DDesiknight9081

April 2, 2025 at 11:54 pmHi. I’m a lawyer here. Since you asked for guidance to proceed legally, every legal action comes at a cost, even if it’s bare minimum. You should definitely deposit the cheque, and send him a Section 138 notice once it’s dishonoured, to begin with. See if he pays up within 15 days of sending the notice, failing which you’ll have another 30 days thereafter, to file the complaint. But send it only if you’re mentally ready to file a complaint later, as if you don’t file the complaint within 30 days after the lapse of 15 day period, you’ll lose the right to file it post that. But that’s the most effective legal remedy you have, as on date. -
