Dwell if you have record of them acknowledging payment, you can extend limitation, talk to your lawyer , he will tell you.Dyou will have to file a suit for recovery, also file an FIR for fraud against him , those are your legal option.Dwhat are they claiming? are they asking you the whereabouts of the neighbours? or are they saying that you are a guarantor of some sorts.Done can take anything to court, but their chances of succeeding are very minimal and it would only be costly for them in the end.Dwell once you decide to get mutually divorced , you can add that condition that there is not case for dowry etc, ask your lawyer yo frame that clause in the mutual agreement.

Dthen you might have a case for consumer forum, id advice you to visit a lawyer to build up your case properly.Dit is going to be tricky to get your money from MMT, as they were only the middlemen, you chose which package to book , including the flight, so unless mmt had any knowledge about go air going bankrupt , it is going to be hard to file a case against them.you should check out the status of go air, as your case is against them , whats their status as of now.
Ddepends on what lawyer you got to, i have rarely charged anyone for consultation, so if you went to a senior lawyer then sure you paid that much.and also it doesn matter whether he gave you advice that you could have googled , what matters is whether he gave you the right advice or not, thats what you went for.
and if you went there without asking or discussing the charges, that’s also on you.
Dhey so can you tell where did you guys get married? in us? or under indian law? if you were married in USA then you can apply for divorce from there only, even if you were married in india you can apply for divorce in the us, you just have to figure out some legalities. make sure you keep proof of all the messages that show his behaviour and try to have as much conversation you can via text messages , so as to keep a record.
