They’re being nice because they don’t want this incident to be escalated, into the neighbours and on internet.
So she can do the damage to that guy as well.
She can make this an issue in whole neighbourhood, she should yell angrily.
And keep the recording on while having conversation, or ask them how will they compensate this incident.
If they won’t then she will take a legal action.

File a police complaint that you lost your card when you’re with your friends.

You can also tip to the police that last time she was having your card in her hands, and you got a bill of 1 lakh and she is now unreachable.

Police will sort out itself
