February 6, 2025 at 7:52 am“Several other business loans that I’m not fully sure of ”You need to have a clearer picture. Like how much is the principal and how much is the interest. It could be accumulated amount over a few years. Next, find out all the parties – relatives or external. You already mentioned two. In short, make a list.
The tricky part is your relationship with your parents – if they are willing to disclose such information to you or not. And lastly, please don’t sign anything legal for taking over your parents’ loan. You can offer them your help in other ways. Good luck!

February 5, 2025 at 10:38 amHow serious is the government with the adoption of regtech for clearing out backlogs in commercial or property rights cases? (I strongly believe making use of technology to dispose off a lot of trivial cases can reduce the burden and increase legal access to a vast majority of people. It appears to be a limiting factor in growth, but I could be wrong.)EEpicstar8957

January 31, 2025 at 6:28 amInteresting initiative, and holds great potential. However, it appears to be a website without more information. E.g. “Save upto 89% on lawyer fees and upto 73% of your time” (from the site) Are there whitepapers for this by the initiative?January 27, 2025 at 12:40 pm in reply to: I got legal notice for posting reviews regarding my experience #65542EEpicstar8957

January 27, 2025 at 12:40 pmCan you prove that they are scammers? If not, then safer not to defame anyone publicly. Even though practically nothing will happen, it’s just unwanted headache. If you do have proof, then fire the evidence up publicly – no mercy to scammers!January 19, 2025 at 5:42 pm in reply to: Lost property due to a scam, what is the logical & legal end point to such situation/ #71076EEpicstar8957

January 19, 2025 at 5:42 pmThe dispute will be over when the HC resolves it, and that probably no one tell. That’s the sad state of affairs of the legal system in India, despite being a democracy.January 19, 2025 at 5:10 pm in reply to: Lost property due to a scam, what is the logical & legal end point to such situation/ #71072EEpicstar8957

January 19, 2025 at 5:10 pmIs there any other piece of evidence where your father’s name appears on this property? (Property tax, perhaps?)Also, if the money was transferred to the owner, was it an ancestral piece of land? Is there any piece of evidence that payment (consideration) was made towards this property?
If there is none, then IMO it’s a waste of time, cut your losses and move on in life.

January 19, 2025 at 2:26 pmOk, then that solves your problem, you don’t need a police verification either, because you aren’t going to cause any problems. (Use that as an explanation to him).January 19, 2025 at 12:54 pm in reply to: Landlord asking everyone for 500 rs for police verification? #71157EEpicstar8957

January 19, 2025 at 11:32 am1. Be composed, and don’t go into a reactionary mode, and collect your evidence and keep them in a *safe place* (or distribute them with people you *trust.)*2. Surround yourself with *helpful allies* – friends and family – you will need them in trying times.
3. Consult a few *lawyers.* You are the best judge of *selecting one who can work with your case.*
4. It will consume time, be prepared financially as well.
Apart from these at the top off my head, good luck!
