FRest of your argument was correct but i think policy part is a bit wrong because most of these policies are internal policies not shown to public , what you are confusing it with terms and conditions but never the less you are right , they committed fraud by baiting you you with false promise.FI think paying for 3 month part is about notice period , after missing work for 3 month op intends to leave firm without serving notice period , as per my understanding , you have to pay some compensation or fight legally if you don’t intend to serve notice period( 3 month for TCS)FBoth situation are different, you are comparing adoption to biological child case , apple and oranges.FWhen you are on bench you don’t do any work and there is no manager over seeing you so people might feel its ok to be absent during that time but regular reporting is strictly monitored during bench period by HR and non reporters can be fired for absence , that is what is happening with op but he is trying to justify months of absence ( the audcity)FI hate TCS and quite recently BUT you seem to be hiding details and seem to be the one wrong here . TCS does not provide this kind of work from home option while on bench as much as i know. Other wise so many employees will enjoy being on bench , further since past 1 year TCS is strictly against work from home completely ( sh¡t policy but as employee follow it or quit) WFH for few days are given but not for 3 month straight specially not when you are on benchFCorrect i have quit TCS recently and they do not provide this kind of work from home option while on bench as much as i know. Other wise so many employees will enjoy being on bench , further since past 1 year TCS is strictly against work from home completely ( sh¡t policy but as employee follow it or quit) WFH for few days are given but not for 3 month straight specially not when you are on bench.FBro your problem and worry is absolutely genuine but you need to understand thats not how laws work , actually its the government’s job to keep a check on these restaurants and you cannot do that action , lets say you know someone is doing something illegal in their house and you go in their house by breaking the lock to check. In eyes of law you are still tresspasser and wrong because it was not your place to try to deliever justice it was the gov, police and/or judiciary’s job and you cannot take law in your hand , if you are allowed to do it today for right reasons , tomorrow someone will misuse the same logic to do something wrong. Like in this case people might crowd the kitchen in name of checking hence compromising the hygene itself.

FLets say you know someone is doing something illegal in their house and you go in their house by breaking the lock to check. In eyes of law you are still trespasser and wrong because it was not your place to try to deliver justice it was the gov, police and/or judiciary’s job and you cannot take law in your hand. If a man has consumed alcohol and then mistakenly hits some one with his car its a negligence that caused the death and hence a crime , I have been driving for 6 years and my mother has been driving for 15 years , the kind of mistake op’s said cannot happen by some one who got the license via an honest route ie a driving test…road accidents are definitely possible but this particular case is not a mistake it was negligence.. And hence a crime.FWould you say the same if your mom got hit ? Its not called a mistake . The women hit accelerator instead of break was about run over the pedestrian had the passenger not pulled the hand break ( check op’s comment) if you have such low command on driving then don’t drive with out L sticker and definitely don’t test drive cars.
