If you are a Hindu then you already have a right in the property by law. You first need to tell your tans sister this and try to convince her and threaten legal action and if it’s not resolved then go the legal route. Hire a lawyer that deals in land dispute.

        It’s a pretty straightforward case

Don’t worry he really has no claim. He will most probably ask for money to settle. It’s really upto you to settle or play hardball.

He really has no legal standing considering you have been living on the property for over a decade. He probably won’t even file a court case considering how weak his case is

You’re not supposed to pay anything if the fast tag doesn’t work and you have balance. You got scammed.

She can claim maintenance(not alimony) based on living standard difference. Their short duration of marriage definitely hurts her case. She will definitely get something out of it. The amount that is circulating in media is highly doubtful tho. Because no living standard requires that amount of money

Alimony is a lumpsump payment while maintenance is monthly payment upto a certain period depending upon the duration of the marriage. What is to be paid depends on the spouse of the claimant.

People opt for alimony so as to cut all legal ties once and for all.

You’re still liable to pay for the services you have availed even if they make a mistake unless they misled you into believing the offer was of β‚Ή1.

He won’t be charged or anything and the amount is too small to go after him individually. They will most likely reach his bank to charge him.

You are not responsible for your father’s loans. Don’t sign anything if someone asks you to sign anything. Don’t personally engage with the personal contacts as they will set their sight on you.

You have to separate yourselves and your finances from your parents if they aren’t. Bank loans will be paid most likely by your father’s retirement funds.

For personal loans it all depends on what kind of loans they were. If they were in cash your father can just deny paying them and nobody can do anything legally because there’s no proof.

It’s best that your father pays your loans first if he has no hope of being solvent.

I don’t know why you would marry someone like that. The whole point of arranged marriage is background check.

It’s your father/your fault for not making a will. He has a legal right to 1/3rd of your father’s property. You can deduct whatever you spend on your father
