January 23, 2025 at 10:17 amEmployee bonds are legal in India under very specific conditions and cannot be so unreasonable/one sided to impose arbitrary penalties. They can at best only recover training costs from you and there is a good chance that the bond is a scare tactic to discourage resignations and won’t be enforced given the high litigation costs associated with getting a favourable court order for the company. You should consult a labour counsel and resign if you think you won’t be able to put up with the hours/work conditions for 3 more years. -
