Hi. First and foremost im so sorry for your loss.

Those are cases which would be taken up before the court. Look up the case files in his office with that title/number and let the clients know of his demise. They would come and collect it and engage some other lawyer.

If that isn’t feasible visit the website of the court he was practicing in and feed in the details of the case (who’s messages you get) in the case status and then contact the opposite side lawyer (his name will show up in the case status). He can then inform the court on next hearing and can also help you with address of the party your father was representing . You can then contact those clients and let them know.

7 years doesn’t become ground for divorce ..it’s 2 years for desertion.

7 yrs is when under Indian evidence act the person is presumed to be dead if no one has heard from them . So shed be dead in eyes of law. No need for divorce

Bro im not debating her morality here. This is legal thread and OP is asking for help. Do that instead of moral policing.

And just because someone slept with someone before being married for whatever reason doesn’t make them a shitty person . Should her husband know her past? He should without doubt …. but probably she did not tell because one she wasn’t proud of it and maybe the kind of families they come from judge women harshly for not being virgins…who knows ? I agree that there should be transparency but not sharing it would not make her love and respect her husband any less.

Unless the only thing that matters for husband is if wife is a Virgin. And nothing else . Then shes wong if she knew and still lied.

However , let’s suggest OP solutions and not bash his sister .thats all I want to say ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I second what you say. Being a woman even i would not want to marry a man who would prey on such women either.

But here it’s a clear case of harassment and blackmail and OP wants solution to it. Who are we to sit and blame any of them.

What happened happened… she’s a devoted wife now who’s being blackmailed by some guy who very well knew what the arrangement was.

I don’t think it’s fair in our part to judge her alone when the boss very well knew what he was doing.

Go and report to the police. Carry screenshots of text messages or recorded calls as proof. This is blackmail.

To the people slut shaming the woman. From what I read the relationship was a mutual agreement and both knew what they were getting into so stop blaming the woman , the guy /boss didnt offer her hand in marriage as well so chill. Both were consenting adults who were there for sex in exchange of perks.

Doesnt give him the right to harass her when she’shappily married . Have some sense ๐Ÿ™„

You can very well file a case but don’t think much would come out of it. Barring your memory there is no solid evidence. Law relies on that. It wouldn’t go anywhere.

Nope. It wouldn’t attract any thing drastic unless u character assassinated her or made sexual remarks. Also if u regret doing it just drop her a message yoire sorry n got carried away n delete prev messages if u can. Nothings gonna happen. Chill
