Agreed. OP, you can get the oil changed every 3000km at a third party mechanic and only go to the service centre for the 6000km service until you reach the end of the warranty period.

I wouldn’t recommend changing the oil on your own unless you have a way of disposing old oil safely. It’s really bad for the environment if it is disposed improperly.

This. Service centres use a lot of oil. They don’t buy it in retail quantities like you’d get in a spare parts shop. It’s usually in a drum.

Also 1.2 litres is a non-standard volume of oil. No well-known brand sells oil in anything other than whole litre or .5 litre packs, especially not motorcycle engine oil.

Did you see the mechanics take oil from a sealed bottle? If not, it probably came from a drum.

In any case, many TVS service centres are scummy and are looking to make a quick buck. Check out xBhp / Team-bhp forums for your city to find a reliable dealer / service centre. And take your bike to a third party mechanic as soon as it is out of warranty.

Edit: As for what you can do legally, probably not much. You’ve lost less than Rs. 1000 in oil changes (maybe a bit more in other consumables that didn’t actually need to be changed.) Unless you can get a whole bunch of other TVS customers to join you in a PIL or something, nobody is going to take a <Rs. 1000 loss seriously.

Also, 7 services in under 2 years? Is that the recommended service schedule? Seems very high.

Whoa, okay. Those are some pretty big assumptions.

          >Marriage is for children. Child is at the core of marriage in India.

If marriage is for children then childless couples must be penalized, and infertile people should not be allowed to get married at all.

          >Adopted child has a completely different psychology

          >A child needs both male and female energy to grow.

Got a source for these statements besides “Trust me, bro”?

          >Now if remove the concept of child, what is the point of marriage

The point of marriage is inheritance and property rights, not children. It becomes easier for a person to pass their property to children they have raised or to cohabiting partners if it all has the social sanction of marriage. Yes, you can pass property down to non-family as well, but it’s more complicated and is taxed differently.

And that’s illegal in so many other aspects of society. Why shouldn’t that be illegal for marriage as well?

              >Making the law gender neutral will impact almost half of the population of India.

How? Intimate partner violence is IPV, Sexual assault is SA, inheritance is inheritance, regardless of the gender of the plaintiff. If anything making the laws gender neutral protects more people. The current laws exclude many millions of people from legal relief just because of the close minded attitudes of Victorian-era Brits.

Because property rights, inheritance, divorce and alimony.

Why should a same-sex partner’s claims to their spouse’s property be different from an opposite-sex partner’s rights? That’s discrimination on the basis of gender.
