Yes but they are doing it under the table, OP has no proof that they asked this from him. If the cheque bounces he will be in trouble while the company will get away.

OP should only entertain an Email request for something like this.

This is advice from someone who has seen similar situations very closely.

From his point of view, your loan being an unsecured loan from a powerless person, is the LAST on his priority.

It is very probable that you will never get the money back unless you find a way to show him that you are powerful and shouldn’t be messed with.
