PLegally yes the company can make changes to company wide policy because normally they put in clause in joining letter “that company reserves the right to revise terms etc
specially private companies don’t need to think much about this.
I will suggest talking to your manager / new company and try explaining your situation to both sides I hope one of them will agree.
