OP himself said that it was once or twice so I don’t think it was possible to notice this at the time of sale unless this information was delivered before sale.

If you aren’t seller(as in shop keeper) and you gave no warranty so technically you aren’t responsible after the sale although you should have told him about the blinking screen before selling.
