      Branch has to take permission from Head office for waiving off. They can’t do it unless you request for it.

        You can forget the account and it will eventually be closed.

        Or
        If you want to still use the account after it’s made active.

        Send a mail to branch stating, you weren’t aware of MAB and when you opened there was no MAB. And state a genuine reason and ask for waiver of MAB charges. Next, raise ombudsman complaint, stating they have charged MAB charges on zero balance account .
