Both the points stated by the representative seems to be right. Either the instant discount is not applicable for the gold coin or your card isn’t eligible for that.

Instant discount is something that lowers the total amount to be paid immediately the minute you enter the card details. If it isn’t lowered there’s absolutely no point in going further and placing the order.
